NSF-BSF Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB) Program
The NSF-BSF
Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB) Program
supports quantitative, predictive, and theory-driven fundamental research and related activities designed to promote the understanding of complex living systems at the molecular, subcellular, and cellular levels. MCB is soliciting proposals for hypothesis-driven and discovery research and related activities in four core clusters: For the specific Call Text and Program Areas under this topic please see Call for Proposals NSF-BSF Program MCB.
This program has no deadline and is open for submission throughout the year.
Please note that due to the cancellation of the NSF Biology deadline for proposal submissions, and the possibility of submission throughout the year, the number of American submissions and joint proposals with Israel has been drastically reduced. Since the amount allocated to the various programs has not decreased, this should increase the chances of success. We therefore highly recommend submitting to the NSF-BSF Biology programs as soon as possible.

NEW: The Austrian Space Forum - Call for Experiments Proposals
The Austrian Space Forum (in cooperation with the Israeli Space Agency as the host agency and D-MARS) invites the scientific community to submit experiment proposals in the fields of geosciences, engineering, planetary surface operations, and life sciences including astrobiology, and human factors. These experiments will be held at the AMADEE-20 test site at the Ramon Crater.
Simulating Mars Human-robotic surface activities in terrestrial analogs has evolved into an efficient tool for developing exploration mission architectures. They facilitate the understanding of the advantages and limitations of future Human planetary missions, becoming an added value for the development of remote science operations, and helping to understand the constraints and opportunities of the technology and workflows. Please Note:- The experiments need to be self-funded, but the scientific and logistics infrastructure will be provided by the Austrian Space Forum. In addition, the option for tele-operated experiments is available.
- The Austrian Space Forum encourages potential Principal Investigators to contact the AMADEE-20 leadership before submitting a proposal in order to discuss potential opportunities and challenges to the experiment.
