Shalom,

Subject: Excellence Awards for Administrative and Technical Staff at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev 2022-2023 Unique Perspectives that lead to Exceptional Work

The Excellence Awards for Administrative and Technical Staff are our way of honoring staff members for their exceptional work and showing our appreciation for their unique contribution to the University.

This year, we call on each one of you to look at the administrative and technical staff who work with you from a new perspective. This year's excellence awards will be awarded to staff members who, in their work and conduct, embody the University's values and our story.

This year's selection criteria relate to the University's values: excellence and integrity, the art of the possible, winning boldness, social inclusion and responsibility, the power of togetherness and the Israeli spirit.
The awardees will be selected through an in-depth process by the University administration, members of the academic and administrative and technical staff, representatives of the administrative and technical staff union, and a representative of those who received excellence awards for the 2020-2021 academic year.

At the end of the selection process, up to 6 administrative and technical staff members will be selected to receive one of the following awards:
  • President's Award
  • 2 Director General Awards
  • 3 Recognition Awards
The awards will be presented in a festive ceremony, in the presence of the President of the University, Director General, and the Deputy Director General for Human Resources.

Your involvement in the process is significant and your nomination of a candidate drives the selection process. The selection committees will review the recommendations and evaluate the candidates considering the examples they set. All of us together – managers, staff members, colleagues, and students – we will make an impact on the selection of our outstanding team!
We call on you to nominate a candidate who, in your opinion, deserves this special recognition. On the recommendation form, it is important to list concrete examples of activities and actions which demonstrate how the University’s values are expressed in the candidate’s work.
