PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area)
The PRIMA program focuses on new Research and Innovation (R&I) approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth.
The R&I initiatives support a common research and innovation strategy to address the diverse challenges in water scarcity, agriculture and food security.
PRIMA's expected impacts:

Environmental impacts: biodiversity conservation, sustainable farming practices.

Economic impacts:
increase in production and efficiency, access to new markets, greater funding options and large-scale aggregate economic impacts.

Social impacts:
political stability and reduced migration.
Consortia must be composed of at least three independent legal entities established in three different countries considered to be PRIMA Participating States (See link to Call Details below).
Deadline for the First Stage of submission: February 28, 2019
Projects are expected to propose solutions by involving, as much as possible, a diversity of actors (SMEs, NGOs, Farmers, extension services) especially for Innovation Actions, promoting mobility and training, and integrating new technologies.
Note: Section 2 - National funding, subjected to the countries national funding laws. No funding for Israeli Academia in Section 2.
